Communication
Keep teams talking in hazardous areas
Ordinary phones and radios can ignite flammable gas or dust.

Realix communication devices are built to intrinsically safe standards, which limit the electrical and heat energy inside the device so it cannot become a source of ignition.
We supply three kinds of device. Most sites use more than one.

Ex-mobiles
Smartphones and feature phones certified for hazardous zones. Workers get calls, messages, cameras and field apps without leaving the safe area to use a normal phone.
Two-way radios
Rugged radios for instant group calls on site. Used by operations crews on oil and gas sites and by police in the field.

Push-to-talk and dispatch
Push-to-talk over the mobile network, with a dispatcher console. Teams talk across sites and cities, not only within radio range.
How we help you choose
- 1Your zone.Tell us whether the area is Zone 0, 1 or 2 (gas) or Zone 20, 21 or 22 (dust).
- 2Your work.Calls only, data and apps, or group talk across sites.
- 3Your approvals. We confirm the device’s certification against your site’s requirements before you buy.
